Changes are afoot in the world. This site has been in existence, barring cosmetic changes, since 1999 and since 2003 I've been honoured to have a Microsoft MVP badge on the site.
Sadly this year, Microsoft have decided that my contributions to the C# community have not been enough for me to warrant an MVP status. Perhaps some of the thousands of you who use this site would like to ask them why? In this last year I have answered, on average two site user queries per day in support of Microsoft products but, as my policies dictate, I cannot share those details with Microsoft so that doesn't count.

Philosophies change from time to time. Personally, I have become far less of a purist and have returned to my roots in the word of electronic design. This means that I am working more with custom hardware platforms and embedded systems. What does this mean for an old Windows programmer like me? Well, not a lot really. I still program 99% of the time in C#, even on diverse platforms such as iPhone, Android and even small embedded systems.

My aim is to continue to provide a diverse range of articles on this site so keep coming back and please, if you're interested in the makerverse, electronics or do-it-yourself hardware then you can safely bookmark this site as it will be expanding to cover an even wider range of subjects than have been seen for the past decade or so.
